Primer, a good start

To ensure that paint adheres well, the surface usually needs to be treated with a coat of primer or undercoat first. At the Engels Verf Specialists, you will find primers and undercoats for all types of surfaces. We are happy to advise you, but we will also tell you when a primer coat is unnecessary. With honest advice, you always save money with us. Unnecessary painting is bad for your wallet and for the environment.

The difference between primer and undercoat

Both primer and undercoat ensure that paint or varnish adheres better. This is very important for an optimal result of your paintwork. But what is the difference between the two types? In principle, undercoat is used on wood and primer on other surfaces, such as metal or plastic. However, the terms are increasingly used interchangeably, including by various quality brands. At Engels Verf Specialists we know exactly what you need and can advise you correctly.
